The Outcry
The church of God in the world is currently journeying through a phase in prophecy as it pertains to the end time
The church of God in the world is currently journeying through a phase in prophecy as it pertains to the end time. The abomination in the Holy Place cannot be as real as what we have today, where the consecrated people are championing the course of abominable acts in the consecrated places.
As much as God welcomes sinners with open arms, He detests the sins in them. The call God has been making through the gospel is to come with your sins but not to continue in your sins.
The ministry of reconciliation (2 Cor 5:18-21) is not a ministry of negotiation, which is what is going on in our days. When they say as long as you call the name of Christ, no matter what immorality or detestable things that men do, they are part of the church. No, not true!
Rather, it is a ministry that emphasizes, if a man is in Christ, He/she is a new creation, and old things must pass away. (2Cor 5:17)
When Israel was in slavery, the Babylonians requested of them to sing the songs of Zion for them. The people said, how shall we sing the Lord’s song in a strange land, in fact, they put themselves under a curse if they forget Jerusalem (Psalm 137:1-6). It is unfortunate that in our case, we have asked
Babylon to come and sing for us strange songs in Zion to replace the Lord’s songs. Or in some cases, we negotiate the terms and conditions, to sing Zion songs mixed with songs of Babylon together in the Holy Place. What an abomination!
Zion city, known as the mountain of holiness, where the Lord is beautiful for every situation (Psalm 48:1) is no longer different from the City of Babylon the mother of the abomination of the earth (Rev.17:4-5).
From the trend described above. It is so alarming and regrettable that the heritage of the Christian faith and missions all over the world are falling flat to this abomination. As it directly affects Methodism, the seat of the revival that came to the Church through Methodist people, had been swept by the flood of unholy things being advanced in the Church of God.
Methodism as a movement, not as a denomination through our founding fathers John Wesley and Charles Wesley and the Holy Club, is founded on the cardinal landmarks of Scriptural Holiness and Evangelism. Therefore, it is pertinent that we reclaim this rich and vibrant heritage of the Wesleys.
Revelation 3:1-6 TLB
“To the leader of the church in Sardis write this letter: “This message is sent to you by the one who has the sevenfold Spirit of God and the seven stars. “I know your reputation as a live and active church, but you are dead. [2] Now wake up! Strengthen what little remains—for even what is left is at the point of death. Your deeds are far from right in the sight of God. [3] Go back to what you heard and believed at first; hold to it firmly and turn to me again. Unless you do, I will come suddenly upon you, unexpected as a thief, and punish you. [4] “Yet even there in Sardis some haven’t soiled their garments with the world’s filth; they shall walk with me in white, for they are worthy. [5] Everyone who conquers will be clothed in white, and I will not erase his name from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that he is mine. [6] “Let all who can hear listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches.
The mandate in this message is a wake-up call to strengthen what little remains because what is left is also on the verge of dying. “I know your reputation as a live and active church, but you are dead. [2] Now wake up! Strengthen what little remains—for even what is left is at the point of death. We cannot afford to fail God at this time that He is depending on us.
This is not a move to carry the name, title, or look for recognition, it is an awakening call to work, revive and re-enact the ancient landmarks. The light of the gospel and tenet of righteousness must not go dim in our hands.
This mission is carrying a reawakening mandate of Methodist Heritage, by preaching the gospel through evangelistic outreach, reclaiming the sanctity of the altar of Christ through upholding scriptural holiness, and building a community of believers who are perfected in love and purity of heart and body. All of which are entrenched in the doctrinal theology of Wesley.
To carry out this mandate, the following shall be our pursuit.
1. Leverage on Information Technology to proclaim the gospel through various online platforms
2. Build a network of international burden bearers, entrenched in the doctrine of the priesthood of all believers, as a vanguard of holiness move, to ignite the banner of righteousness wherever they are in life endeavours
3. Raise local and international support for places where physical congregations need to be established and support existing ones to grow
4. Create an international network of prayer altars, as an intercessory movement to reclaim the lost heritage and the consecrated places through prayers
5. Promote the Christian Bible canonized as the sole authority for doctrines, the standard of faith, and shaping of character
We are able to go up
And take the country
And possess the land
From Jordan to the sea
Though the giants may be there
Our way to hinder
Our God has given us a victory
